Ceramic Coating Services

Warranty Terms

WARRANTY COVERAGE PERIODS

This warranty automatically applies to all ceramic coating services provided by Phantom Glass Detailing, with coverage periods determined by the package selected: Standard Package provides 2 years of coverage from the date of installation, while the Premium Package provides 5 years of coverage from the date of installation. The original invoice serves as proof of warranty coverage and must be retained by the customer.

WHAT IS COVERED

This warranty covers only defects in the ceramic coating application process that result in complete coating delamination due to improper surface preparation by the technician, visible streaking or hazing caused by improper application technique, or coating failure within the first 30 days due to inadequate curing conditions provided by the installer. This warranty does not extend beyond these specific installation-related defects.

AUTOMATIC AND COMMERCIAL CAR WASH EXCLUSIONS

The warranty becomes immediately void upon use of any automatic car wash facility, including those with brushes, cloth strips, rotating mechanisms, or conveyor systems. Tunnel car washes of any type, whether brush or brushless, will void this warranty. Self-service car washes that utilize high-pressure wands, foam brushes, or any mechanical cleaning implements are also prohibited and will result in warranty cancellation. Only touchless car washes without physical contact mechanisms are acceptable if professional washing becomes necessary.

IMPROPER WASHING AND MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

This warranty is voided by the use of dish soap, household cleaners, or any car soaps that are not pH-neutral and specifically designed for ceramic coated vehicles. Washing with water temperatures above 140°F or below freezing will void the warranty, as will the use of abrasive sponges, towels, brushes, or any cleaning implements other than clean microfiber towels. Power washing closer than 2 feet from the vehicle surface or using pressure above 1,500 PSI voids the warranty. The customer must employ proper two-bucket washing techniques and never allow soap to dry on the vehicle surface during the washing process.

PROHIBITED CHEMICALS AND PRODUCT APPLICATIONS

Application of any wax, sealants, or other protective products over the ceramic coating will immediately void this warranty. The use of water spot removers containing acids, abrasives, or harsh chemicals is prohibited, as is the application of polishing compounds, rubbing compounds, or cutting compounds. Tire shine products, degreasers, wheel cleaners applied to coated surfaces, bug and tar removers not specifically designed for ceramic coatings, clay bars, decontamination products without prior written authorization, iron fallout removers, or acidic wheel cleaners on coated areas will all result in warranty cancellation.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND EXTERNAL DAMAGE EXCLUSIONS

This warranty does not cover scratches, chips, or damage from road debris, rocks, impact, or any physical damage to the coating or underlying paint. Bird droppings, tree sap, or insect remains that are left on the vehicle surface for more than 48 hours will void the warranty for the affected areas. Damage from construction materials, paint overspray, industrial fallout, salt damage from winter road treatments or coastal environments, oxidation or fading from UV exposure beyond the coating's specifications, water spots from hard water or mineral deposits, and etching from acid rain, pollution, or environmental contaminants are not covered and will void the warranty.

MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS AND FAILURES

The warranty requires that the vehicle be washed at least once every two weeks during regular use, and the vehicle cannot remain unwashed for more than 30 days without voiding the warranty. The customer must address any contamination or visible damage within 48 hours of occurrence to maintain warranty coverage. Use of automatic sprinkler systems or allowing water to air dry on the vehicle surface without proper drying techniques will void the warranty.

PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS AND MODIFICATIONS

This warranty does not cover paint defects, scratches, or imperfections that were present before coating application, nor does it cover poor paint condition that affects coating adhesion. Previous coating, wax, or sealant residue that was not disclosed prior to service will void the warranty. Body work, paint repairs, or touch-ups performed after coating installation will void the warranty unless performed by Phantom Glass Detailing or with written authorization.

VEHICLE MODIFICATIONS AND ALTERATIONS

Application of paint protection film over or under the ceramic coating without written authorization from Phantom Glass Detailing will void this warranty. Window tinting or other services performed on coated surfaces, vinyl wraps, decals, or graphics applied over the coating, and aftermarket accessories attached to coated surfaces will all result in warranty cancellation unless specifically approved in writing by an authorized representative of Phantom Glass Detailing.

PROHIBITED USE CONDITIONS

While commercial use of the vehicle is permitted under this warranty, certain harsh operating conditions will void coverage. These include racing, track use, competitive driving events, off-road use in extreme conditions, operation in construction sites, industrial environments with heavy contamination, or any use that subjects the vehicle to abnormally harsh conditions beyond typical commercial or personal use. Neglect, misuse, or intentional damage to the coating will void all warranty coverage.

WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE AND LIMITATIONS

Customers must notify Phantom Glass Detailing within 30 days of discovering any claimed defect and must make the vehicle available for inspection during normal business hours. Photographic documentation of the claimed defect is required, and maintenance records demonstrating proper care must be provided upon request. Phantom Glass Detailing reserves the right to require an independent inspection at the customer's expense if the initial claim is disputed or denied.

REMEDY AND LIABILITY LIMITATIONS

Phantom Glass Detailing's sole obligation under this warranty is to re-apply the ceramic coating to affected areas where installation defects are confirmed. This warranty does not cover consequential damages, loss of vehicle use, diminished vehicle value, or any indirect damages. The maximum liability under this warranty is limited to the original cost of the ceramic coating service. All warranty work will be performed during normal business hours at Phantom Glass Detailing's facility, and no loaner vehicle or alternative transportation will be provided.

WARRANTY RESTRICTIONS AND GOVERNING TERMS

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the ceramic coating service. Any change in vehicle ownership immediately voids all warranty coverage. Geographic restrictions apply, and warranty coverage is valid only for vehicles serviced within 50 miles of the original installation location. All disputes arising under this warranty are subject to binding arbitration, and the customer is responsible for all legal fees if a warranty claim is denied. This warranty is governed by state law, and any modifications to these terms must be made in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Phantom Glass Detailing.

Notice: This warranty provides limited coverage for installation defects only. Ceramic coatings are not scratch-proof, chip-proof, or damage-proof. The coating provides protection but requires proper maintenance and care for optimal performance and longevity. Environmental factors, improper maintenance, and normal wear will affect the coating's appearance and performance over time.
